Kyle Kristal our managing director of Lifta SA got to sit down with the team at SA Home Owner to share his thoughts on modern mobility solutions and why Stiltz Home Lifts are an excellent alternative to conventional residential lifts.

Style meets practical design with the fabulous range of Stiltz Home Lifts, available exclusively from Lifta SA. A Stiltz Home Lift will not only serve as a statement piece in your home, but also as a solid investment for future mobility needs. Kyle Kristal, managing director of Lifta SA, shares why Stiltz Home Lifts are an excellent alternative to conventional residential lifts.

A compact and neat solution

Stiltz Home Lifts are a stylish and modern alternative to stairlifts or commercial, hydraulic lifts. They operate by way of a steel roped drum braked gear motor drive system, which is compact and neatly self-contained within the roof space of the lift car itself. The lift’s unique dual rail system creates a completely self-supporting structure so the lift doesn’t add any burden on a home thanks to this innovative technology. Home Lifts operate by way of a normal residential 220V plug – no three-phase power required.

Options

Lifta SA offers two varieties of Home Lift – the Duo and Trio Home Lift. The Duo, capable of taking two passengers between floors, has the smallest footprint on the residential market – just 0.8m2. The wheelchair-friendly Trio’s footprint, capable of carrying an additional person as well, is only 1.3m2.

Save on space

No shaft, pit or motor room is needed for any of the Home Lifts.

Quick, easy installation

Lifta SA’s team can install Home Lifts in two days, and not only for new builds but also retrofit, after a client has moved into their home.

Cost-effective

The cost of Home Lifts compares favourably to commercial residential lifts on the market and construction costs are substantially less due to the unique design of the product. The Stiltz Home Lift can be installed almost anywhere in the home thanks to its compact footprint, drive mechanism and dual rail technology. Home Lifts have an unrivalled ability to fit into spaces other Home Lifts cannot with minimal building work and disruption.

Load shedding functionality

If load shedding or power failure occur while the Home Lift is in operation, the battery backup will allow the lift to safely travel down to the lowest level to allow you to safely and easily exit the unit. Due to the low power requirements of Home Lifts, a small inverter can supply required power to operate during load shedding.

Safety measures

Lifta SA Home Lifts are installed with safety sensors above and below the lift car which detect obstructions and, if necessary, will smoothly stop the car to allow for the obstruction to be removed. All Home Lifts are also installed with a light curtain, which is a further safety sensor that ensures that the lifts stops smoothly in the event of anything crossing into or out of the lift while it travels.

Lifta SA Home Lifts communicate any possible faults by means of a user-friendly light panel, allowing for efficient diagnosis and rectification.
