How Do Home Lifts Work During Load Shedding?

Energy requirements

Our Home Lifts operate by way of a standard 220V wall plug, using as much electricity per trip as an electric toaster or kettle in the process.

Energy alternatives

If you have off the grid power such as solar power or power wall battery packs hooked up to a converter then you can still run your lift in moderation as you would a kettle under the circumstances.

Lack of alternative power supply

If you do not have additional power supplies, there is no need to worry about recalibration or any issues with operations. Once load shedding is over, you will then be able to start using your lift again.

Built in battery pack

The Lifta Home Lifts all include a back up battery which allows the user to travel down to the lowest floor should load shedding strike while in use.
