Precise preparation ensures a gratifyingly fast, tidy and straightforward installation of your stairlift. Our engineers will install your stairlift on your staircase, without any additional construction work. Maximum safety is guaranteed throughout the process. Your personal stairlift will be ready for its first drive after just a few hours.  

Tidy and fast

You Lifta stairlift is precisely tailored to you and the set-up of your own home. To do this, a Lifta service technician will come to your home and measure your staircase. Once your staircase is analysed, the information is used to prepare your individual rail system.

Depending on the model, the delivery time can take between 1 and up to a maximum of 6 weeks. The final installation is then carried out by a service engineer.


To ensure the best quality, our service engineers are selected carefully and are required to meet our professional standards. On an agreed installation date, your experienced Lifta engineer will carefully install the rails and your chosen seat on your staircase.

In just a couple of hours, your own stairlift can be ready for use. The entire installation is completed in a smooth and tidy process, generating as little noise as possible. Since the rail system is exclusively tailored to your stairs, no further modifications have to be made to your home.

Professional maintenance

Lifta Stairlifts are robust, stable and enduring. Nevertheless, like any technical device in frequent use, their functionality has to be checked at regular intervals. For this reason, Lifta offers professional maintenance services. For an indoor stairlift, we recommend an annual check-up service. For an outdoor stairlift, a routine 6-month check-up is suggested.

Maintenance includes a deep cleaning, a battery check and tests securing all the safety features. All the control units, the seat and the armrests are also examined. If our engineer finds any problems, these will be immediately repaired or replaced, if necessary.

Will a Lifta fit on my stairs?

Your Lifta stairlift will be tailor-made to meet your specific requirements. Further more, our stairlift can be designed to fit almost every size and shape of a staircase. A Lifta stairlift can be installed indoors and outdoors, on a single-flight staircase (straight or curved) or on a staircase with landings.

Does my staircase have to be rebuilt?

No. The stairlift rail system is specially designed to be fixed on some of the steps of your staircase. Any type of staircase material is suitable (concrete, brick, wood, carpeted etc.) and in case of any doors, passageways and/or landings, the rail system will be fitted accordingly.

What will happen in the case of a power cut?

Your Lifta stairlift is supported by a powerful back-up battery. So, in case of a power failure, your stairlift will still work to its full functionality.

Will it look out of place in my home?

No. All Lifta stairlifts are available in a range of high quality leather, fabric and vinyl upholstery finishes and colors. You can choose your preferable design to complement your personal decor. Furthermore, the remote control makes it possible to park the stairlift upstairs, thus out of sight, if you wish so.

How long until my Lifta is delivered?

For most stairlifts, delivery should be possible within one or two weeks. For any special models and curved staircases, a delivery time between one to six weeks can be expected. This again depending on whether it is custom-made or modular.

How long does it take to install?

One of our experienced technicians will install your Lifta stairlift within a few hours – no mess, no noise, no fuss.

What weight can it carry?

Depending on the model, Lifta stairlifts can safely carry a maximum load of between 120 kg and 160 kg.

How much does a Lifta stairlift cost?

A fully installed Lifta stairlift can be purchased from R55 000 upwards. However, since all Lifta products are tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the customer, the prices vary depending on individual stair dimensions, models and options chosen.
